This time, instead of introducing an individual, we are presenting a group of Roma musicians who have significantly contributed to the promotion of the Roma community in recent years.

The music group Romano Glauso was founded in 2018 in Murska Sobota and has since established itself as an important player on the Slovenian music scene. From the very beginning, the group has been dedicated to promoting Roma culture through music that combines traditional Roma elements with a modern, original approach. To date, they have recorded seven original songs and released an album with ten tracks in the Romani language, among which the hits “Lari Fari,” “Prekmurska Gibanica,” and “Moja Sobota” stand out. The latter especially contributes to the promotion of Murska Sobota.
The group has also recorded three online concerts, which have been viewed by over 15,000 viewers. Their most-watched song, “Lari Fari,” has surpassed 100,000 views. These successes demonstrate their broad popularity and effective promotion of Roma culture and Murska Sobota on a national level.
The Roma music group Romano Glauso plays a significant role in strengthening coexistence between the Roma population and the majority population in Murska Sobota. At a time when concerning attitudes toward the Roma community can be seen in other parts of Slovenia, the group’s work contributes to greater understanding and acceptance. Their music, which intertwines traditional Roma motifs with modern musical elements, builds bridges between different cultures and encourages dialogue and cooperation.
The music they create is not only an artistic expression but also a tool for social integration and the cultivation of positive relationships. By promoting Roma culture and actively engaging with the local community, they help increase the visibility and respect for Roma heritage and contribute to strengthening the social fabric of Murska Sobota.

Culture has an extraordinary power to unite people and bridge social divides. Through their concerts, music recordings, and public performances, Romano Glauso contributes to making culture a platform for dialogue and coexistence. In doing so, they not only enrich the cultural landscape of Murska Sobota but also help create a more inclusive and tolerant society.
The group is led by Darko Rudaš, a long-standing Roma councillor in the Municipality of Murska Sobota. The current lineup includes Dušan Horvat (vocals), Saška Debeljak (vocals), Igor Baranja (accordion), Marij Horvat-Palko (violin), Leonardo Horvat (keyboard), and Tilen Horvat (drums).
