My name is Adrijana, I am 29 years old and I come from the Roma settlement of Kamenci. As a child, I dreamed of working with children one day. After finishing primary school, I decided to continue my education at the School of Economics in Murska Sobota, program administrator. I decided to pursue this major because I was interested in how work in administration works, and at the same time I wanted to help my grandfather with his work in the association. He himself strongly encouraged me on this path - my grandfather Ludvik Levačič - who was a great support and motivation for me.
I got my first job at the Črenšovci kindergarten, where I received a lot of valuable experience and was warmly welcomed by my colleagues. Later, I also worked at the Beltinci kindergarten, which was another important and enriching experience. In both environments, I contributed with courage and dedication to working with children and actively helped the Roma community.
Today I am employed at the Center for School and Extracurricular Activities, where I mainly do field and organizational work with primary school children and their parents. This work fulfills me, because contact with children calms and inspires me. I am proud that I can support the Roma community with my knowledge and dedication, stand by it, and encourage young people to get an education and a job. My goal is for as many children as possible to successfully complete their education and create a better future for themselves.
I believe that every young person has potential, regardless of their background. My wish and goal are for as many young Roma as possible to get an education, develop their skills, and gain employment opportunities. Through my own example, support, and work in the community, I want to show young people that it is possible to achieve their goals, overcome obstacles, and create a better future – for themselves and their community.
